Some of my friends think that there is a fundamental biological imperative to propagate our human species. Back in college, this was usually an alcohol-induced activity that have had repercussions to this day. Sex is something that is fundamental in the reproductive process of the individual in order to ensure species survival. An often common quote you can find on the web by the late Lewis Thomas compares humans to ants:
“Ants are so much like human beings as to be an embarrassment. They farm fungi, raise aphids as livestock, launch armies into war, use chemical sprays to alarm and confuse enemies, capture slaves, engage in child labor, exchange information ceaselessly. They do everything but watch television.“
Let’s get to work!
Enter the Peach Blossom
There are many variables attached within a BaZi chart. Previously, I wrote an introduction to one of these functional variants known as the Qi Sha (七 刹) or commonly called ‘the Seven Killings.’
Yes, this is written in Chinese.
Rather than the ‘control mechanism’ of the Qi Sha/Seven Killings, the Peach Blossom, (桃華), is a variable or symbol associated with love and romance. It belongs to the categories in BaZi Suan Ming literature known as the “Spirits of Fortune and Demons of Calamity.” If a person does not not have the Peach Blossom prevalent in their original BaZi it does not mean there is no love or romance for the person. All this means is that this is where the fun begins. How do you make available the romance variable in your BaZi chart without being born again?
Ok, maybe not “Born Again.”
We have other biological imperatives that include the need for food, growth, protection and the use of free will that says to fight for your life. No organism from molecules to man say “It’s Ok, I will wait until you kill me.” While there are many mitigating factors that come in to play in life and death scenarios, all I am saying, our most fundamental behavior maintains we fight to live. It is when la sombra, (the shadow) overcomes us and when “our light” inside truly begins to dim, this is when we need to address these issues that revolve around one’s own will to live another day.
We work. We play. We procreate. We go to sleep.
The Concepts of the Demons of Calamity and the Shadow Soul is as old as the concept of spirit itself. The Peach Blossom is a reminder in all of us that the Peach Blossom does not have to be inherent in our BaZi chart, but it can appear some where along one of the “Pillars” in the BaZi Suan Ming.
There are many different ways to understand love, romance and relationships using signs, symbols and some instances dreams that have been written about in the last several decades.
The difference is this: BaZi and the Cura system are not a mental exercises. This is not a cerebral gymnastics routine in the Olympiad of Archetypes or Jungian influenced routines.
This is life. Remember it is the Time that is the most influential factor in your BaZi Life Reading.
As we continue on this journey in the Great Life Pulse, start asking yourself where do you want to start living with the rest of your life.
