Leave it to us Americans to screw up an entire indigenous healing system and try to make it relevant only in terms of finding parking spaces and keeping ourselves absolved of any accountability. What is your Spiritual DNA? There are many definitions that have been written, preached, sold and given to the general public over the last decade. In “essence,” (no pun intended) there are definable qualities that link the ‘Spiritual DNA’ to the 12 strands of our own genetic DNA encoding. It’s a concept that has been given a name, especially in the last five years, but it is the same concept of spiritual inheritance that is as old as the concept of a Creator.
My grandmother, one of the most well-respected and longest practicing Curanderas (a Mexican and Apache Medicine Woman), in this hemisphere told me early on in my training, that “The hardest thing in the world to do is to know yourself.”
